About the role#
Axos Bank offers a 12-week Summer Internship Program designed to provide hands-on experience in a financial environment. You will participate in a capstone project, attend sessions with business leaders, and complete financial literacy and Corporate Finance Institute training. This is a full-time, paid internship for students pursuing degrees in Accounting or Finance.
What you'll do#
- Gain exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) documentation.
- Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare periodic, month-end, and quarter-end journal entries.
- Execute the month-end close process and perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts.
- Prepare month-end roll forward schedules.
- Assist in preparing financial reporting schedules to U.S. GAAP standards.
- Prepare support for independent public accounting auditors, federal regulators, and internal auditors.
- Improve efficiency by implementing reports that minimize manual processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Ability to analyze and interpret accounting guidance.
- Skill in managing multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to produce professional and accurate work under time constraints.
