About the role#
The Test Product Engineering Intern role provides students with the opportunity to work on real projects that impact our products. You will join a team focused on developing unmanned systems and contribute to the engineering and manufacturing design process. This position is designed to offer practical experience in a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Participate in multiple phases of the engineering and manufacturing design and development process.
- Support design activities using tools like Solidworks, Altium, Ansys, Visual Studio, Matlab, wind tunnels, and 3-D printers.
- Test and verify design modifications for flight hardware and software systems.
- Help resolve flight behavior issues on miniature unmanned aerial vehicles.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Completed coursework relevant to your major.
- Hands-on experience with relevant tools and software in your area of expertise.
- Experience with UAVs or robotics.
- General knowledge of engineering fundamentals, mathematics, physics, and material properties.
- Familiarity with structured development techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
- U.S. Citizenship is required to meet ITAR and EAR compliance standards.
- Flight test or R/C experience is a plus.
