About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship program designed to provide hands-on experience in the aerospace and defense industry. You will work alongside team members on projects that impact actual products. You will receive detailed instructions and close supervision as you contribute to various phases of quality engineering and manufacturing development.
What you'll do#
- Assist quality engineers with investigations into production and customer issues.
- Use measuring equipment like calipers and micrometers for dimensional analysis.
- Participate in problem-solving sessions and process audits.
- Support quality inspections and investigations.
- Work with software tools relevant to your area of expertise.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in a technical or engineering field, such as Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- A minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
- U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Resident status, or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A desire to build things and a strong aptitude for quality engineering.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Completed coursework relevant to your major.
- Basic knowledge of SolidWorks, UAV or robotics experience, and flight test or R/C experience are considered pluses.
