September 2026 Engineering Co-op Student

About the role#

ATCO is seeking an Engineering Co-op Student to join the team in Whitehorse, Yukon, starting in September 2026. This is a full-time, paid position available for 8, 12, or 16-month terms. The role is on-site and includes relocation assistance.

What you'll do#

• Perform system modelling for load flow and protection using CYME.
• Conduct engineering calculations, including load checks, voltage drops, and microgen analysis.
• Execute planning studies for small projects and support project coordination.
• Provide project support, including documentation and closeouts, while assisting engineers and engineering assistants on large projects.
• Manage general administrative tasks as required.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an Engineering co-op or internship program at a recognized Canadian university, specifically in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to use technical vocabulary clearly.
• A valid Class 5 driver's license.
