SCADA & Cybersecurity Co-op Student

About the role#

ATCO is seeking a student to join the SCADA & Cybersecurity team within the ATCO Gas & Pipelines division. This is an 8-month, full-time, paid co-op position based in Edmonton, Alberta, starting in September 2026.

What you'll do#

• Support the project to modernize SCADA graphical interface displays to updated standards.
• Redraw SCADA displays and site schematic drawings used daily by various departments.
• Develop technical display building skills.
• Gain hands-on experience working directly with SCADA systems.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a co-op or internship program at a recognized Canadian university.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Business Administration.
• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written forms using appropriate technical vocabulary.
