ATCO is seeking an Engineering student to join the Survey team for an 8 or 12-month co-op term beginning in September 2026. This role is based in either Grande Prairie or Lloydminster and involves a mix of office and field work.
What you'll do#
- Establish property lines, collect topographic features, and prepare construction and design layouts for distribution, transmission, and civil teams.
- Create third-party crossing drawings and individual ownership plans to support land rights acquisition.
- Develop design-based drawings that integrate collected topographic field data with existing and new facilities.
- Utilize software including Civil3D, Revit, GIS, and ArcMap.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a co-op or internship program at a recognized Canadian Polytechnic Institute.
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program related to Electrical, Civil, Geomatics, or a similar engineering field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Locations: Grande Prairie, AB and Lloydminster, AB.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Working Conditions: Approximately 60% office-based and 40% field-based.
- Term: Fall 2026 start; 8 or 12-month duration.
