About the role#
We are looking for a Water Engineer Intern to join our Water Business Line in Guaynabo for Summer 2027. You will gain experience in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects. This role involves planning, design, and project management support. You will work on site visits, data analysis, and sustainability projects.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate and design water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, and pumping stations.
- Conduct vulnerability and mitigation assessments for sustainability and resilience projects.
- Perform fieldwork, including site visits, sampling, and technology evaluations.
- Carry out data analytics, operational assessments, and performance evaluations of facilities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for client meetings.
- Use digital tools like SharePoint and Power BI to support project delivery.
- Ensure all work complies with company quality, health, and safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering.
- Fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior coursework or internship experience in water, wastewater, or water resources sectors.
- EIT certification is preferred.
