    About the role#

    The Common Systems Software Department is looking for an intern for the summer of 2027. This team builds control system software for our products, including real-time control of robots, motors, pumps, flow controllers, and sensors. You will also contribute to algorithms for material deposition, user interfaces, and data analysis.

    What you'll do#

    • Design and write code for control system software projects.
    • Create prototype software to interface with new devices, actuators, and sensors.
    • Help troubleshoot software problems.
    • Build and run test plans on simulators, test benches, or in the lab.
    • Write software documentation.
    • Collaborate closely with the team.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Master’s degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
    • A GPA of 3.2 or above on a 4.0 scale.
    • Proficiency in C and C++.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
    • A result-oriented mindset with a desire to contribute ideas and influence others.
    • Experience in real-time control or motion control is a plus.

    • This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site in Santa Clara, California.
