About the role#
Apollo Global Engineering is looking for Summer Analysts to join our team for a 10-week program. You will work within small teams to develop technology that helps our firm move faster and manage complexity. This role involves partnering with investment professionals, data scientists, and product managers to build solutions that improve business workflows. You will gain exposure to our investment strategies and participate in an immersive apprenticeship experience.
What you'll do#
- Research, develop, and implement streamlined technologies across all business lines.
- Create solutions and platforms using modern technology.
- Balance big-picture thinking with the management of technical details.
- Lead the investigation of new ideas, including the execution of experiments and proofs of concept.
- Act as an innovation liaison for stakeholders, subject matter experts, and external parties.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and remove roadblocks.
- Share successful experiments across the firm to identify new use cases.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, software development, or data analytics.
- Graduation date in May or June 2028.
- An excellent academic record.
- Demonstrated interest in finance and technology through coursework, jobs, or previous internships.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or another object-oriented language.
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with REST or GraphQL.
- Ability to problem-solve, debug, and learn new analytical tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of financial markets or fintech.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and work both independently and collaboratively.
- A proactive work ethic with strong attention to detail.
