About the role#
The Test & Evaluation (T&E) team works across all product lines, flight operations, and test range management. This co-op role involves full system-level development testing, new production acceptance, and sub-component qualification. You will gain hands-on experience in an environment where your work directly impacts fielded products.
What you'll do#
- Participate in developmental testing for hardware and software.
- Plan and conduct subsystem, simulation, ground, and flight tests.
- Investigate issues, track observations, and work cross-functionally to prioritize resolutions.
- Analyze test results to identify performance trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, and product managers.
- Conduct testing at private and government-owned ranges.
- Ensure safe operations in accordance with established procedures.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical, Systems, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Must return to school for at least one term following the internship.
- Ability to complete an in-person 16 to 24-week internship in Winter 2027.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to export-controlled information; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required.
- Working knowledge of engineering principles and theory.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to travel and work extended hours as required.
Preferred experience includes:
- Software development using Go, Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
- Linux systems and command line usage.
- Pixhawk flight controllers, Ardupilot, PX4, and COTS Small UAS autopilot software.
- National Airspace System and UAS operating regulations.
- CAD modeling, PCB design, and rapid prototyping (3D printing, laser cutting).
- FAA Part 107 certification.
- Experience with the Department of War (DoW) or mission autonomy systems.

- Compensation: $32 to $45 per hour.
