About the role#
The Fellow Digital Technology Architect Operations provides companywide architecture services to align technology investments with corporate goals. This role requires visionary strategic thinking to select technology capabilities and build roadmaps that drive business change. You will act as a primary liaison between engineering and business teams, ensuring that technical target states are understood by senior leadership and stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Set the architectural vision for core capabilities and align patterns for consistency and reuse.
- Define enterprise principles, patterns, and guidance for technology, data, platforms, and infrastructure.
- Provide oversight and governance for key architecture domains to ensure systems remain safe, secure, and stable.
- Mentor other architects and digital technology teams to foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Translate complex technical ideas into digestible concepts for stakeholders at all levels.
- Drive the adoption of preferred resources and technology across the enterprise.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data, intelligence, or a related field.
- At least 13 years of relevant professional experience.
- Minimum of 7 years in a Distinguished or Senior Principal Architect role within a large, complex enterprise.
- Proven experience championing complex architecture initiatives valued over $10 million.
- Demonstrated contributions to the architecture profession or industry, such as research, innovation, or standards development.
- Ability to integrate operational technology for rail with information technology, cloud, cybersecurity, and AI.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, remote position.
- Travel requirements are up to 25%.
