About the role#
This internship bridges commercial strategy, logistics planning, material performance, and customer operations within our Cement division. You will gain hands-on experience in how cement moves from production to market while supporting regional sales strategy and supply chain efficiency. This is a 10-week, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Analyze logistics networks, dispatch scheduling, and material movement to identify opportunities for route optimization, cost reduction, and timely delivery.
- Evaluate regional market trends, construction project pipelines, and competitor positioning.
- Join sales account managers on client visits, site tours, and customer job sites.
- Collaborate with plant operations and sales teams to align product inventory levels with commercial sales forecasts.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols and procedures.
- Present your findings and contributions to the executive leadership team at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Civil Engineering, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Marketing, Concrete Industry Management, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance.
- Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
- Willingness to spend significant time in the field and travel to surrounding states for site and customer visits, including potential overnight stays.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A proactive approach to new challenges and the ability to collaborate across different levels of the organization.

- Location: Franklin, Tennessee.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Term: Summer 2027, beginning June 1, 2027.
- Travel: Approximately 25% travel requirement.
