    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid internship program for Summer 2027. You will work alongside experienced professionals on heavy civil and industrial infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, mines, dams, and rail. The program offers hands-on experience across four primary tracks: Field Engineering, Estimating, Safety, and Geospatial.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with project teams to support daily operations and coordination.
    • Assist with technical reviews, documentation, and communication with stakeholders.
    • Gain exposure to construction processes, tools, and technologies.
    • Field Engineering: Support daily construction activities, assist with layout and surveying, and help ensure quality control.
    • Estimating: Learn to analyze plans and specifications, develop cost estimates, and contribute to bid preparation.
    • Safety: Participate in safety audits, monitor compliance, and promote safety on active job sites.
    • Geospatial: Use mapping and modeling tools to support project planning and execution.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a degree program for Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Occupational Safety, Geomatics, or a related field.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • A desire to build and solve problems.
    • A valid driver license.
    • Eagerness to learn and contribute to project teams.

    • Locations: Burnsville, MN; Johnstown, OH; Cedar Rapids, IA; Duluth, MN; Point Pleasant, WV; Sioux Falls, SD; Marshalltown, IA; Valley City, ND; Grand Forks, ND.
