About the role#
The Department of Performing Arts is hiring a student assistant to help with daily operations. This role supports the Department Chair, faculty, and the main office with administrative tasks. You will also help with recruitment efforts and promotional work for the department.
What you'll do#
- Handle various administrative tasks for the department office.
- Assist faculty and the Department Chair with projects.
- Manage and create content for departmental social media accounts.
- Support recruitment and promotional activities.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current student at American University.
- You must have an active Federal Work Study (FWS) award.

- This position is located on the American University campus in Washington, DC.
- The role is part-time, scheduled for 6 hours per week.
- This is a paid position at $18.40 per hour.
