About the role#
Allen Lund Company is hiring a Sales Intern for our La Canada office. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship. We offer training and development, with the potential for a full-time position for the right candidate.
What you'll do#
You will support our brokerage operations by tracking and tracing loads to ensure app compliance. A core part of the role involves communicating with carriers over the phone to inquire about lanes, equipment types, and quantities. You will gain exposure to booking loads and learn to build loads, schedule pickup and delivery appointments, and update active load information for shippers.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Updating customer systems with critical information.
- Managing documentation for Carrier Resources.
- Contacting insurance companies for certificates and updating references.
- Handling general office duties, answering phones, and supporting the accounting function.
- Upholding company standards and principles.
What you'll need#
- You are currently enrolled as a Junior in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
- You are a self-motivated, enthusiastic team player.
- You possess a competitive, outgoing, and confident personality.
- You have excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
- You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.
- You demonstrate a strong work ethic and excellent time-management skills.
