About the role#
The Sales Intern position is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Wichita, Kansas. You will work closely with the area sales team and local branch managers to support sales growth and customer retention. This role involves travel within the assigned territory and requires a focus on safety, professional communication, and internal service.
What you'll do#
- Assist in various stages of the sales process, including creating awareness of new offerings.
- Generate new leads and work to retain existing customers.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Maintain high levels of internal customer service by assisting the sales force.
- Qualify and pursue sales leads from other parts of the organization.
- Coordinate with the e-business team to set up customers on the company website.
- Submit regular sales reports, including itineraries, call reports, and prospect lists.
- Participate in required training modules and follow all company safety procedures.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university, preferably as a third or fourth-year student.
- Major in Business Administration, Marketing, or a similar discipline.
- Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and build positive relationships.
- Prior outside sales or service experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications, including Gmail, Sheets, and Docs.
- Ability to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.
