About the role#
AHBL Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Spokane, Washington. You will work alongside experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience and apply your classroom knowledge to real-world projects. The internship lasts 12 to 14 weeks, starting in May or June.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with experienced engineers on various projects.
- Perform hydraulic and hydrology calculations.
- Create quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
- Prepare drainage reports and related calculations.
- Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design tasks.
- Conduct project research and feasibility studies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering degree program with junior level coursework completed.
- Interest in stormwater, road, or utility design.
- A desire to contribute to a team-based environment.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in AutoCAD is preferred.
- Experience in stormwater modeling, grading, drainage, sanitary sewer, water distribution, and roads is preferred.
