About the role#
This internship offers the chance to work alongside agricultural lenders to build skills in financial analysis, sales, and customer relationship management. You will be paired with mentors who teach you about our business and how to market financial products to rural communities. This is a full-time, paid position designed to give you experience with employee responsibilities and exposure to senior management.
What you'll do#
- Complete an intern development guide to learn about the Farm Credit System and our specific products.
- Work with various employees on assignments related to business development and financial analysis.
- Complete and present a project to the executive management team at the end of your internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year of coursework.
- Strong organizational and technology skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to lead teammates and achieve project objectives.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Professional interpersonal skills when working with team members and customers.
Location & details#
- This internship is located in South Carolina and requires on-site work.
- The term runs from June 1, 2027, to July 30, 2027.
- The pay is $18 per hour for up to 40 hours per week.
- You must provide your own housing and transportation.
- Business-related expenses are covered by the organization.
- Some travel is required.
