About the role#
This internship offers a chance to work with agricultural lenders to build skills in financial analysis, sales, and business development. You will work with mentors who provide direction and teach you about the business. Interns learn how to market and sell financial products to rural communities.
What you'll do#
- Complete an intern development guide to learn about the Farm Credit System and AgSouth products.
- Partner with employees on assignments to expand your knowledge of financial analysis and customer relationship management.
- Complete and present a project to the executive management team at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor or master degree in Finance, Business Administration, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year.
- Strong organizational and technology skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to lead teammates to achieve project goals.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills to build rapport with team members and maintain professionalism with customers.
Location & details#
- Location: Georgia, United States.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 1 to July 30).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid at $18 per hour, up to 40 hours per week.
- Note: Students must provide their own housing and transportation. Some travel is required. Business-related expenses are paid by the organization.
