About the role#
Aechelon Technology is looking for interns to join our core 3D Graphics Software Engineering team for the Summer 2026 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Overland Park, Kansas. You will work directly on pC-Nova, our visual simulation application, alongside experienced engineers. Each intern is paired with a mentor to guide the design and implementation of new technologies.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the software engineering team to develop and enhance pC-Nova.
- Work with a dedicated mentor to design and implement new technologies.
- Contribute to production-level software used in our shipping products.
- Assist in creating improvements for our existing product line.
What you'll need#
- Two years of progress toward a B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of and programming experience in C or C++.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A focus on writing fast code and following solid engineering principles.
- Ability to work with export-controlled technology.
- Desired experience includes work with OpenGL, Direct3D, rendering engines like Unreal or Unity, multi-processing systems, GPGPU development, machine learning, and scripting languages like Python or Bash.
