About the role#
As a Technical Writer Intern on the Developer Experience team, you will create, test, and publish documentation for developers building with open-weight models. You will be paired with a mentor and own projects from scoping through launch. This is a hands-on role where you will run the code you document, call our APIs, and submit pull requests. You will write for both human developers and AI coding agents, using a docs-as-code workflow.
What you'll do#
- Write clear guides, tutorials, and reference content for inference, fine-tuning, and GPU cluster products.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and researchers to understand new features.
- Use AI tools in your daily workflow for drafting, editorial review, and publishing.
- Test every feature by running the code yourself and file bugs when the product or documentation does not behave as expected.
- Manage drafts, reviews, and publishing through Git, pull requests, and Mintlify.
- Contribute to release notes and changelog entries.
- Use page analytics, search data, and developer feedback to prioritize improvements.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related field, graduating December 2027 or later.
- Exceptional written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably Python or TypeScript.
- Comfort with Git source control.
- Curiosity about how developers learn and how AI changes that process.
- Experience calling an LLM API or building a project with AI tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with Markdown/MDX, static site generators, or platforms like Mintlify or Docusaurus is preferred.
- Experience with CI tools such as GitHub Actions is preferred.
- Please include one or two writing samples with your application.
