About the role#
We are looking for a 2027 Navigation Summer Intern to join our astrodynamics team. You will work alongside experienced technical staff to support spacecraft navigation and mission design projects. This role offers the chance to apply your technical skills to real space missions while receiving mentorship from engineers in the field.
What you'll do#
- Support spacecraft navigation and astrodynamics projects.
- Collaborate with technical staff on projects focused on spacecraft navigation, trajectory analysis, and mission design.
- Contribute to work involving NRHO stationkeeping strategies, rendezvous operations, and interplanetary mission design.
- Apply your knowledge of orbital mechanics and programming to support navigation analysis.
- Present your project results through technical reports and presentations to the astrodynamics and navigation teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related engineering discipline.
- A strong foundation in orbital mechanics and computer programming.
- Completed coursework or research related to astrodynamics or space systems.
- An interest in spacecraft navigation and mission design.
- A curious and collaborative mindset with a desire to learn from experienced engineers.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Westminster, Colorado.
- Compensation is $26 to $35 per hour.
- A housing stipend is provided.
