About the role#
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer Intern to join our team for the Fall 2026 term. This is a full-time, paid position based in Fort Collins. You will work alongside our engineering staff to support the development of precision power conversion and control solutions.
What you'll do#
- Join a core team to help meet project schedules, cost targets, and customer goals.
- Assist in the development, testing, and debugging of prototype power supply units.
- Analyze test data and reports to ensure they meet performance specifications.
- Collaborate with internal departments to keep projects on track.
- Design analog and digital circuits, EMI filters, and power circuits.
- Develop and implement control algorithms.
- Design and analyze magnetic components.
- Use commercial or proprietary tools to model and simulate systems and devices.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Experience working in a lab environment to debug circuits.
- Ability to evaluate product specifications using oscilloscopes, power meters, multimeters, logic analyzers, and firmware interface tools.
- Proficiency with Windows-based platforms and the MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines without direct supervision.
- Familiarity with CAD tools for schematics, analysis, and modeling.
- Experience with firmware programming for embedded systems.
- Knowledge of serial communication protocols such as UART, SPI, and I2C.
