About the role#
Acuity Insurance is hiring an Actuarial Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. You will support rate change procedures, prepare reports, and improve existing processes within the Actuarial Department. This role offers hands-on experience in data analysis and business operations.
What you'll do#
- Research and collect data.
- Summarize findings with accuracy and appropriate detail.
- Collaborate with team members to develop solutions and reach goals.
- Follow department standards and procedures.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Perform other assigned duties.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program for mathematics or actuarial science.
- A high level of academic achievement.
- Progress toward completing an Actuarial exam.
- Previous experience showing teamwork and goal-oriented outcomes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to solve problems and perform mathematical analysis.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A desire to learn actuarial techniques, company operations, and computer systems.
