About the role#
Acuity Insurance is hiring a Claims Intern to join our team in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position with a rolling term. You will learn the claims process by investigating losses and determining coverage under insurance policies.
What you'll do#
- Investigate, evaluate, and resolve assigned auto physical damage and basic liability losses.
- Communicate with agents, doctors, attorneys, and other parties to gather information.
- Evaluate policy coverage by applying facts to contract terms.
- Investigate claims to determine coverage, subrogation, and potential fraud.
- Maintain accurate file documentation and follow-up tasks.
- Forecast and monitor reserves.
- Maintain a positive attitude and represent the company in a professional manner.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with personal computing and typing.
