About the role#
Abdo is seeking a Nonprofit Audit Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position starting in January 2027 and continuing through mid-April. Interns perform professional audit work under general supervision and gain experience working with nonprofit clients. Successful completion of the internship may lead to full-time employment opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Prepare workpapers in conformity with firm and audit standards.
- Communicate with clients on-site, by phone, and via email to obtain accurate information.
- Draft, foot, and proof financial statements and audit reports.
- Utilize and develop a functional understanding of firm software.
- Exercise discretion when working with confidential client matters.
- Perform analytical work with data and meet productivity standards.
- Report billable and non-billable time daily.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related business administration field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Completion of Intermediate Accounting I is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Mankato, Minnesota.
- Work Modality: Hybrid. Interns are expected to work at least three days per week in the office or at client sites.
- Compensation: $27 per hour.
