About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term, running from January through mid-April. Interns perform professional audit work for nonprofit clients under general supervision. Upon successful completion of the program, full-time employment opportunities may be available.
What you'll do#
- Prepare workpapers in conformity with firm and audit standards.
- Communicate with clients on-site, by phone, and via email to obtain accurate information.
- Draft, foot, and proof financial statements and audit reports.
- Utilize and develop a functional understanding of firm software and internal workflows.
- Exercise discretion and judgment when working with confidential client matters.
- Report billable and non-billable time daily and meet productivity standards.
- Develop research skills and utilize firm-approved technology to improve work quality.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Accounting or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Completion of Intermediate Accounting I is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Mankato, Minnesota.
- Modality: Hybrid. Interns are expected to work at least three days per week in the office or at client sites.
- Compensation: $27 per hour.
