About the role#
As an R&D Intern, you will gain practical experience through projects that support our operations. You will work with various teams, participate in brainstorming sessions, and seek feedback to grow your professional skills. This position reports to the NAM R&D Team Leader.
What you'll do#
- Create models, assemblies, detailed drawings, and bills of materials using PTC Creo and Windchill software.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, instruction manuals, and design test records.
- Learn and apply regulatory standards including UL, CSA, and NEC.
- Analyze design concepts for cost effectiveness and participate in design reviews.
- Support cross-functional collaboration with purchasing and manufacturing teams.
- Assist with supplier selection and component evaluation.
- Identify solutions for clients based on their needs and our offerings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program for Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering in the United States.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high quality standards.
- Strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop solutions.
- Ability to organize tasks to meet deadlines and communicate project progress effectively.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site or hybrid.

- Compensation: This position pays between $20 and $34 per hour, depending on qualifications, graduation year, and experience.
