Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op -Fall 2026

About the role#

This Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op position for Fall 2026 offers the opportunity to gain practical experience through a variety of projects. You will support operations and contribute to the manufacturing of mechanical and electrical components used in electric motors. This is a full-time, paid internship role.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective coordination and timely project completion.
• Plan and perform both routine and complex assignments related to manufacturing processes.
• Prepare, release, and maintain operator instructions and maintain the in-house order routing system.
• Leverage insights regarding customer needs to identify and implement suitable solutions.
• Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to share information and project updates.
• Seek feedback and guidance from managers and team members to improve performance.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineering Technicians and Engineers on assigned projects.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master’s degree program in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks while maintaining high quality standards.
• Strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

Location & details#

• Location: Athens, Georgia.
• Work Modality: Hybrid.
• Compensation: $20 - $34 per hour.
• Note: No relocation assistance or stipend is provided. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office and manage their own commuting arrangements.
