Engineering Intern - Fall 2026

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 term based at the ABB plant in Iberville, Quebec. Reporting to the Production Manager, the intern will be expected to work on-site Monday through Friday. This role requires proficiency in both French and English to effectively communicate with internal teams and external customers.

What you'll do#

• Dedicate approximately 50% of your time to managing health and safety projects and initiatives.
• Manage various improvement projects within production operations.
• Collaborate with employees to implement Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) or engineering projects.
• Plan, organize, and follow up with stakeholders while supporting change management efforts.
• Support the Quality team in addressing and improving production-related issues.
• Uphold core values of safety and integrity while taking responsibility for your work.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Production, Industrial, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience in project management and operational process optimization using Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Strong technical skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite, MRP systems, and AutoCAD; proficiency in VBA programming is considered an asset.
• A self-motivated, proactive approach to managing projects and priorities based on set objectives.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership abilities as a collaborative team player.
