About the role#
As a Research Operations Intern, you will join the 7RESEARCH team within the 7-Eleven Digital UX organization. You will partner with the Research Operations Manager, researchers, product managers, designers, and developers to ensure research projects run smoothly and consistently. This role is for someone who enjoys organizing complex work, improving processes, and supporting team members. You will gain experience across the research lifecycle while completing an independent project focused on improving a research-operations process or resource.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate study logistics, including scheduling, timelines, and stakeholder updates.
- Assist with participant recruitment, screening, reminders, attendance tracking, and incentives.
- Prepare and quality-check study materials like screeners, consent forms, and discussion guides.
- Support in-person and remote research sessions, including equipment and recording workflows.
- Organize research files and repositories using team standards.
- Assist with research-tool administration, project setup, and process documentation.
- Maintain trackers for study status, recruitment progress, and tool usage.
- Identify workflow improvements and create templates, checklists, or playbooks.
- Support researchers by taking notes, organizing data, or conducting secondary research.
- Complete an independent internship project to improve a research-operations resource.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate, master’s, or PhD program in a field such as psychology, business, marketing, data science, communications, or a related discipline.
- Experience involving research, project coordination, operations, or data analysis through coursework, projects, or previous internships.
- Foundational understanding of user-centered research and how it supports product development.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort using spreadsheets, shared documents, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with at least one collaboration, project-management, survey, or research tool.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with care and maintain confidentiality.
- Proactive, curious, and comfortable learning new processes.
- Experience coordinating studies, events, or student organizations is a plus.
- Familiarity with tools such as Qualtrics, UserTesting, Dovetail, Figma, or Miro is preferred.
