About the role#
This is a part-time Human Resources Intern position based in Buford, Georgia. You will report to the Human Resources Manager and assist with daily operations, documentation, and employee support. This role involves handling sensitive information and requires a professional, service-oriented approach.
What you'll do#
- Maintain accurate employee records and update the HRIS.
- Support the onboarding process, including preparing new hire merchandise and coordinating with hiring managers.
- Assist with recruiting tasks such as posting jobs, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews.
- Coordinate career fairs and recruiting events.
- Help administer employee benefits, including health insurance and retirement plans.
- Respond to routine employee questions about policies and procedures.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and annual performance reviews.
- Manage and organize onboarding supplies, including apparel and safety gear.
- Conduct research on HR trends and employment laws.
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, and process improvement projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A strong interest in building a career in Human Resources.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Previous administrative, customer service, or office experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
