About the role#
Zurich is offering an Underwriting Internship for Summer 2027 based in Los Angeles. This full-time, paid position provides hands-on experience working alongside experienced professionals. You will contribute to projects that support business growth, customer relationships, and risk management strategies.
What you'll do#
- Learn underwriting fundamentals through mentorship and training.
- Support business unit financial reporting and analysis.
- Prepare financial and operational reports using business intelligence tools.
- Help with pipeline management and underwriting operations.
- Participate in meetings with clients, brokers, and stakeholders.
- Review loss summaries and assist with account analysis.
- Gain exposure to customer and partner relationships in the insurance industry.
What you'll need#
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Currently enrolled in a degree program and planning to be enrolled in the Fall of 2027.
- Completion of at least two years of college coursework (rising Junior or Senior).
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Problem-solving skills in a customer-focused environment.
- Experience in leadership roles, campus organizations, or extracurricular activities.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
