About the role#
Zuckerman Investment Group is seeking an MBA Wealth Manager Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside our advisors and investment team to gain a deep understanding of how we serve high-net-worth families. This role offers exposure to financial planning, investment management, tax strategy, and estate planning.
What you'll do#
- Embody our core values by treating tasks with care and interacting with others with kindness.
- Build foundational knowledge in portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment strategy.
- Prepare research, presentations, and meeting materials to support advisors.
- Observe the client advisory experience to learn how we build long-term relationships.
- Assist with portfolio monitoring, including reviewing account activity and performance.
- Contribute to financial planning projects, such as cash flow planning and scenario analysis.
- Participate in internal meetings to learn about our investment philosophy.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and deliver high-quality work on time.
- Support strategic and cross-functional initiatives across the firm.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA or relevant graduate program with an expected graduation date of 2028.
- Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Demonstrated interest in wealth management, financial markets, and financial planning.
- Analytical and quantitative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- High standards of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to take initiative.
- Interest in pursuing professional designations like the CFA, CFP, or AEP.
