About the role#
The Livestock Marketing Intern supports key marketing and communication initiatives. You will work closely with the Livestock marketing team to plan and implement projects. Responsibilities include developing promotional materials, identifying digital media opportunities, creating visual assets, and supporting conventions or meetings.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Livestock Marketing Communications to identify and execute specific initiatives and tactics.
- Lead the development of tactics from initiation to completion, including managing timelines and commercial reviews.
- Formulate internal communication plans to align tools with broader goals.
- Work across functions to refine social media profiles and online presence.
- Establish benchmarks and define key performance indicators to improve reporting.
- Engage with business units to identify synergies and digital strategies.
- Assist with event planning, logistics, and coordination.
- Partner with agencies to execute assets for events and sponsorships.
- Support media relations and event interviews.
- Define the scope of market research projects and report on actionable findings.
- Present a final communication plan and rollout recommendations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate junior or higher, or a post-graduate student in a Master's, MBA, or PhD program.
- Major in Animal Science, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Acrobat Pro.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects independently.
- High level of initiative, resourcefulness, and accountability.
- Experience in the livestock industry is welcomed but not required.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based in Parsippany, New Jersey, or available as a remote position.
- You must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
