About the role#
As a Health & Wellness Intern at Zeno Group, you will support integrated communications programs for clients across sectors like pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, and consumer health. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in healthcare communications, media relations, and content development. This is a full-time, paid position designed to build foundational skills while you learn about the evolving healthcare landscape.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research on healthcare organizations, industry trends, competitors, and emerging issues to support client strategy.
- Support earned media efforts by researching journalists, building media lists, monitoring coverage, and assisting with outreach.
- Draft pitches, press releases, fact sheets, and briefing documents.
- Create communications materials and digital content to help organizations engage with patients and consumers.
- Partner with account teams to manage client deliverables and keep programs organized.
- Assist with event planning, logistics, and vendor coordination.
- Participate in brainstorms, team meetings, and various learning opportunities.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in healthcare, public relations, communications, or marketing.
- Curiosity about how communications can inform different audiences about healthcare trends.
- Strong writing, communication, research, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn, ask questions, and contribute ideas.
- Coursework or project experience related to communications, marketing, public health, or media is preferred.
- Experience with media monitoring tools or creating content for social media and student organizations is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role located in either Chicago, Illinois, or New York, New York.
- The position is full-time and paid at $18.00 per hour.
- The internship term is rolling.
