About the role#
As a Mobility Planning Intern, you will participate in concrete projects aimed at improving the accessibility, safety, and efficiency of transportation systems. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to contribute to the transformation of transport systems and sustainable mobility for communities in Quebec.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze mobility data, including traffic, active transit, and public transport patterns.
- Contribute to transportation planning and sustainable mobility studies.
- Prepare technical reports, maps, tables, and presentations.
- Collaborate on the development of mobility plans, transport strategies, and land use scenarios.
- Support analyses related to road safety and active travel.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to technical discussions.
- Assist with project coordination and task tracking.
- Help improve internal tools and methods for mobility planning.
What you'll need#
- Current studies in civil engineering, urban planning, geography, transport, or a related field.
- Strong interest in sustainable mobility, public transit, and active travel modes.
- Ability to analyze data and draw clear conclusions.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (knowledge of GIS tools like ArcGIS is an asset).
- Rigor, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Team spirit and strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.
