As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will join the Mechanical & Electrical group to support real-world projects that shape resilient and efficient building infrastructure. You will work alongside engineers to contribute to the design and development of systems that support communities and high-quality client outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to mechanical system designs that support safe, efficient, and sustainable building environments.
- Perform calculations, modelling, and analyses to inform critical engineering decisions.
- Assist in developing drawings, technical documentation, and specifications for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.
- Support multidisciplinary coordination between mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teams.
- Participate in site visits to help identify opportunities to enhance performance, efficiency, or constructability.
- Integrate sustainable design principles into project solutions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering with hands-on academic or project experience.
- Curiosity and problem-solving skills related to HVAC, plumbing, energy systems, or building performance.
- Proficiency or willingness to learn tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other modeling and analysis software.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Willingness to participate in field or site-based work and adhere to all safety requirements.
