About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for the Fall 2026 term based in Kamloops, British Columbia. You will join the Land Development and Municipal Engineering team to gain hands-on experience on infrastructure projects that impact local communities. This role requires on-site attendance and involves a mix of office-based design work and field visits.
What you'll do#
- Support civil design and analysis for land development and municipal infrastructure projects.
- Assist with the preparation of technical drawings, calculations, and documentation.
- Participate in site visits to observe construction activities and gain field experience.
- Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and project managers on multidisciplinary teams.
- Apply engineering fundamentals to solve real-world challenges and learn professional best practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering or related undergraduate program.
- Completion of at least one year of post-secondary engineering studies.
- A basic understanding of civil engineering principles.
- Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in both office and field environments.
