About the role#
As an Audiology Extern at WSA, you will work directly with a designated Audiologist Preceptor to gain clinical experience. This role focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of hearing health while maintaining high standards of patient care. You will collaborate with your university program and our clinical team to support center operations and revenue goals.
What you'll do#
- Perform hearing tests including audiometry, immittance, tinnitus evaluations, optoacoustic emissions, and vestibular assessments.
- Evaluate test results to identify communication issues and provide recommendations to patients.
- Consult with your preceptor or clinical educators when managing complex fittings.
- Maintain expertise in fitting, troubleshooting, and selling hearing aid technology.
- Keep the office clean and organized to ensure a professional environment for patients.
- Follow all FDA and company practice guidelines while meeting professional licensing and continuing education requirements.
- Work with the team to meet established center revenue goals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Graduate Audiology Doctoral Program with 2-3 years of progress.
- Ability to obtain a temporary, provisional, or training permit for hearing aid dispensing or audiology in Oregon.
- Experience interacting with clients or customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining technical information.
- Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a busy environment.

- This position is based on-site in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
- The role is full-time and paid.
- This is a rolling term position.
