The Environmental Project Management Intern supports utility, water, solar, telecom, and development projects. This role provides hands-on experience in environmental consulting and project coordination, offering exposure to client relations, regulatory processes, and professional project management tools.
What you'll do#
- Provide general support to project teams on environmental and development-related projects.
- Organize project files, track deliverables, and maintain documentation.
- Attend project meetings to observe, take notes, and support follow-up actions.
- Conduct research and compile data to support environmental reports.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and other project materials.
- Assist with environmental compliance documentation and regulatory processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current junior or senior status pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Environmental Planning, Archaeology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in environmental consulting or project management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with AI tools.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Location & details#
- Location: San Luis Obispo, California.
- Modality: Remote, with an expectation to work in the office approximately once per week.
- Commitment: Part-time, 10–15 hours per week.
- Compensation: $21–$26 per hour, based on experience.
- Term: Rolling, starting late summer or early fall.
