About the role#
The Woven Care student program offers an immersive clinical environment for students to apply their theoretical knowledge. You will work alongside Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists to support the care and treatment of pediatric patients. This placement focuses on hands-on learning, allowing you to master clinical tools and techniques while gaining experience across various specialties like feeding, aquatics, AAC, and autism care.
What you'll do#
- Observe and contribute to the treatment of pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of therapists.
- Participate in clinical interventions and co-treatment sessions.
- Transition from initial observation to managing a full caseload.
- Handle clinical documentation and paperwork using our EMR system.
- Interact with patient families as part of the care process.
