About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Indianapolis. You will join our civil design team to gain experience working on airport infrastructure, research, and planning projects. You will work alongside licensed professionals, contributing to actual projects while receiving mentorship in a collaborative environment. This role requires a hybrid work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across all project phases, from planning and design to construction.
- Assist with technical tasks including calculations, data analysis, cost estimates, and creating drawings or design plans.
- Use software tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external subconsultants, and clients.
- Participate in site visits to observe construction projects firsthand.
- Manage tasks and solve problems with a high degree of independence while meeting quality standards.
- Communicate project status and risks to managers and leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, preferably with sophomore status or higher.
- Pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A genuine interest in aviation infrastructure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to multitask, manage your time, and work effectively within a team.

- Compensation: $23-$27 per hour.
