About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Canby, Oregon for the Summer 2027 term. You will work within the Operations Department to support utility infrastructure projects. The role involves a mix of office-based planning and field work, requiring travel to project sites and meetings.
What you'll do#
- Review bid documents to understand project scope, specifications, and drawings.
- Help identify subcontractor scopes of work.
- Assist in creating plans for site facilities, storage, access, and resource allocation.
- Prepare project reports and maintain organized files.
- Keep a daily log of work activities, meetings, and important conversations.
- Attend meetings and conduct site visits.
- Learn and follow safety requirements and workplace guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with the MS Office suite.
- Strong attention to detail and clear written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
- Ability to travel for meetings and project visits, including potential overnight stays.
