Civil Engineering Intern (St. Louis)

About the role#

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers and Architects is seeking a Civil Engineering intern for our St. Louis office. This is a paid, year-round, on-site opportunity designed to help students apply classroom knowledge to real-world transportation and civil-works projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers to solve complex problems and assist project managers in delivering client visions for the built environment.

What you'll do#

• Perform hands-on work on active client projects.
• Collaborate with team members and partners under the direct supervision of a Project Engineer.
• Assist project managers with technical tasks and complex problem-solving.
• Gain exposure to the firm's culture to help evaluate future career paths.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Civil, Environmental, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering program.
• Specific interest in civil-works careers, such as highway, municipal roadway, or drainage engineering.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and a responsible, dependable work ethic.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to commute to the office and manage a balance between academic and internship commitments.
