About the role#
Willis Johnson Wealth offers an internship for college juniors, seniors, or post-grad CFP candidates to explore a career in financial planning and wealth management. You will join one of our advisory teams to receive technical training and mentorship. This role provides hands-on experience through strategy sessions, client meetings, and project ownership.
What you'll do#
- Assist with client meeting preparation, including creating Investment Review books and reviewing compliance paperwork.
- Help build financial plans, reports, and client presentations.
- Input data into financial planning software such as eMoney and Morningstar.
- Conduct investment and project research.
- Perform stock compliance and trade reviews.
- Analyze performance reports for investment committee meetings.
- Use Dorsey Wright Point and Figure methodology for technical analysis.
- Attend weekly Financial Planning and Investment team meetings.
- Identify qualified prospects for business development.
- Observe client investment and planning meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Financial Planning.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Strong interest in a career in Wealth Management or Financial Planning.
- Demonstrated initiative, organizational skills, and research ability.
- Professional appearance and confidence.
- Ability to handle creative challenges and tight deadlines.
