About the role#
Williams International is seeking a Business Development Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work directly with the Business Development team and report to a Director. This position involves supporting the company through market research, strategy development, and proposal preparation for commercial and defense projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in creating market research products and marketing strategies.
- Develop should-cost estimates for various projects.
- Build systems to improve how the team collects and shares market information.
- Prepare proposals that include schedules, pricing, scope of work, and terms and conditions.
- Coordinate with internal departments and customers to manage project requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors program in Engineering, Business, or Project Management at junior or senior standing for Summer 2027, or enrollment in a Fall 2027 Masters program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong writing, speaking, and presentation skills.
- The ability to explain technical product features in clear business terms.
- Experience in business development, marketing, program management, or U.S. Government contract management is helpful.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- You must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship located in Pontiac, Michigan.
- New team members are subject to pre-employment drug testing.
