About the role#
Wiley|Wilson is hiring a Technology Systems Intern for Summer 2027. You will join our team in Alexandria to work on the physical infrastructure that powers modern buildings. This includes designing data networks, structured cabling, fiber infrastructure, electronic security systems, and audiovisual setups for a range of clients.
What you'll do#
- Work with experienced designers on real-world projects.
- Assist with system layouts and project documentation.
- Learn to use Revit for design tasks.
- Observe how technology systems coordinate with other architectural and engineering disciplines.
- Gain hands-on experience with the design process.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college or university program focused on information technology, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Completion of at least your second year by summer 2027.
- A genuine interest in technology systems and building design.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset for working in a team environment.
- Revit experience is preferred but not required.
Location & details#
- Location: Alexandria, Virginia.
- Type: Paid, full-time summer internship.
- Modality: This is primarily an in-office experience, though some work-from-home flexibility is available based on coordination with your manager.
- Compensation: 20 to 25 dollars per hour.
