About the role#
WeVote is a nonpartisan nonprofit focused on building technology to help voters make informed decisions. We are seeking a Recruiting Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in talent operations, interviewing, and recruitment strategies. You will work directly with our leadership to identify and onboard volunteers who support our mission of making voting more accessible.
What you'll do#
- Observe recruiting sessions to learn our processes and tools.
- Master our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other professional recruiting software.
- Screen applications and resumes with guidance from our team.
- Conduct video interviews with potential volunteers.
- Partner with the team to create new volunteer opportunities.
- Help candidates understand how they can contribute to our mission.
- Suggest process improvements to make our recruiting efforts more welcoming.
What you'll need#
- An interest in HR, recruiting, nonprofit work, and volunteer organizing.
- A curiosity about civic tech and how technology can strengthen democracy.
- Prior experience with volunteering, whether through school, community, or religious organizations.
- The ability to commit 5-6 hours per week.
- Availability on Wednesdays at 4 PM PT for team meetings.

- This is a remote, unpaid internship.
