About the role#
WestRock Company offers a Summer 2027 internship within our Fiber Supply team. This role provides exposure to our procurement operations, supply chains, and safety culture. You will work on an assigned project throughout the summer and present your findings to senior leadership at the end of the term.
What you'll do#
- Develop and execute a project related to virgin fiber procurement, recycle fiber procurement, or recycle plant operations.
- Learn and apply company safety and environmental compliance standards.
- Communicate with peers, procurement teams, management, landowners, and suppliers.
- Gain hands-on exposure to fiber handling, sustainability certifications, market analysis, and logistics.
- Summarize your project work in a final presentation for senior leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Forestry, Forest Resources, Fiber Supply, Wood and Paper Science, or a closely related field.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic working knowledge of GIS and GPS tools.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written forms.
- An energetic, self-starting approach to your work.
- A clean MVR record and personal automobile insurance that meets company guidelines.

- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Atlanta, Georgia.
- The term is for Summer 2027.
