About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Phoenix, Arizona. You will join the Operational Risk and Reporting team to support the Preferred and Small Business Banking organization. Over the course of the program, you will work on projects related to data, risk management, and process improvement while receiving mentorship and participating in leadership development activities.
What you'll do#
- Develop performance metrics and line of business reporting.
- Conduct physical and virtual branch design assessments.
- Test procedures and controls to ensure operational integrity and customer experience.
- Manage the inventory and administration of procedures.
- Maintain the Risk Control Inventory to align with internal and regulatory standards.
- Oversee management action plans for audit and issue remediation.
- Lead centralized fraud engagement and management efforts.
- Design and implement automation solutions to streamline operations.
- Coordinate line of business projects and intake processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work productively without supervision.
- An interest in the Commercial Business Banking industry.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis (no sponsorship available).
